The Recipe

Batman

Kelalawar
1 buah kelapa diparut dan dibuat santan (kira2 8 gelas)
4 biji bawang putih
6 biji bawang merah
4 batang bawang
1 sendok makan kunyit (atau 1 jempol)
1 jempol jahe
kemangi (secukupnya)
2 batang serai
4 kemiri
20 biji rica (tergantung selera)
2 ekor kelalawar yang sedang (bisa ayam)

Kemiri, jahe, kunyit, bawang putih, dan bawang merah dicampur dan diuluk. Semua buhan dicampur dan dimasak sampai kering dan santan jadi kental. Taruh garam dan royco sapi sesuai selera.

Bat Curry
1 coconut grated and made into coconut milk (about 8 glasses)
4 garlic clvoes
6 shallots
4 green onions
1 Tbsp turmeric (or 1 piece about as long as your thumb)
1 thumb size piece of ginger
Basil2 stalks of Lemongrass
4 candlenuts (I think macadamia nuts or cashews could be substituted)
20 small red peppers (or 50 or 2 hand fulls…depending on your ability to withstand the heat)
2 regular sized bats that have been properly cleaned and smoked (chicken would be a fine substitute…)

Smash the candlenuts, ginger, turmeric, garlic, and shallots in a motar and pestle (or in a food processor). Cook everything all together until its all dry and the coconut milk is thick. Add salt and beef bouillon.
ENJOY. I promise, it’s suprisingly very good.
Maybe next I’ll talk about how to make coconut milk….maybe.
