1 buah kelapa diparut dan dibuat santan (kira2 8 gelas)
4 biji bawang putih
6 biji bawang merah
4 batang bawang
1 sendok makan kunyit (atau 1 jempol)
1 jempol jahe
2 batang serai
20 biji rica (tergantung selera)
2 ekor kelalawar yang sedang (bisa ayam)
1 coconut grated and made into coconut milk (about 8 glasses)
4 garlic clvoes
4 green onions
1 Tbsp turmeric (or 1 piece about as long as your thumb)
1 thumb size piece of ginger
Basil2 stalks of Lemongrass
4 candlenuts (I think macadamia nuts or cashews could be substituted)
20 small red peppers (or 50 or 2 hand fulls…depending on your ability to withstand the heat)
2 regular sized bats that have been properly cleaned and smoked (chicken would be a fine substitute…) Smash the candlenuts, ginger, turmeric, garlic, and shallots in a motar and pestle (or in a food processor). Cook everything all together until its all dry and the coconut milk is thick. Add salt and beef bouillon.
ENJOY. I promise, it’s suprisingly very good.
Maybe next I’ll talk about how to make coconut milk….maybe.
